Your mindful ticket to a calmer, happier child.
Think meditation won’t help your children (after all they are not Tibetan monks right)?
Good news is they don’t have to be and our bedtime (and anytime) stories are the perfect way to introduce them to meditation from a young age.
Remember, meditation for kids is not about achieving Nirvana (at least not yet!).
It’s about them learning that their inner world can be just as interesting as the outer world and that within it they can find happiness and a safe, peaceful space to understand and work through their emotions.
Children follow our lead...
My son was curious about meditation when I started practising it, but it wasn’t until we began reading stories about meditation that he first asked if we could meditate together.
We want you to be able to do the same (or at least know that there really is an alternative to TV and video games!) and this is what we have created these books:
My 8 yr old daughter was anxious and felt very scared going to bed. After the first night we read this book, she went straight to sleep with no issues AND slept through the entire night. She said the book helped her feel more relaxed. We have been reading it every night since and she has had no trouble sleeping. My 5 year old son also loves the book! And every night he wants to do a meditation and find the magic door! – Sev Lopez
Our first book:
You don't need your body to sail a boat
Available in English and Spanish (“No necesitas de tu cuerpo para navegar un barco”)
Sebastian is convinced he doesn’t need his body to sail a great pirate ship out in the seven seas. Ava is not so sure but wants to give things a try, even if it means finding a magic door she never knew existed.
As Ava starts looking for the magic door everything goes dark… will she and Sebastian be able to sail a boat after all?

Our New Book:
Why does mummy always sleep sitting up?
Sebastian keeps finding his mummy sleeping sitting up in all sorts of places. In the terrace, in the living room and sometimes on her own bed.
As he tries to find out why she likes to sleep sitting up, he realises something… there is a reason why mummy is sleeping sitting up, she is under a spell and it’s his job to rescue her.
Will he remember the right counter spell to rescue her in time?

Because we love questions... here are some answers
What is the age range for these books?
The recommended age group is between 3 and 8 years old. But of course they can be enjoyed by anyone at any age. Because they are illustrated, some older children may find them “childlike”, however I have found that even older children are keen to read them at home (where there is no peer pressure to dissuade them).
How young can you get children started on meditation?
This is a great question…
My son started at 5 with very short meditations (7-9 mins).
However, we recommend to start reading the books as young as possible. I started reading to my son everyday before he turned 2 (I love reading and wanted to make it part of our routine).
Many people don’t know that children’s brain waves are predominantly in Theta between the ages of 0 and 6. Theta is the same state when someone is in hypnosis or meditation.
The consequence of this state is that they absorb everything around them with #nofilter. Normalising both the positive and negative experiences in their lives.
This is why “normalising” meditation practice through storytelling is so important.
Through these stories they will know that they can navigate their emotions, that they don’t need something outside of them to be happy and that those quiet moments of introspection should be highly valued.
Are the books religious?
There is no reference in any of the books to any religion. The books are an introduction to meditation for kids (for example, sitting still, being patient, breathing, closing your eyes, etc.) to help children understand how to go about doing a meditation.
Are the books similar to guided meditations?
The aim of the books is to serve as an introduction to meditation for kids. Some of the books (for example, “You don’t need your body to sail a boat”) go through the adventure the children have during a meditation, but they are not meant specifically to be followed as guided meditations for your child (we are working on this for future books :)).
Do you have different languages?
Yes! Currently the books are available in English and Spanish, but will soon be available in German. Join our community to be the first to hear when other languages will be available.
Is there a digital version?
Yes! Check out our Patreon page HERE. Where you can find audio and video versions of our books and so much more. By becoming a member you are helping us create more tools and resources to help you on your meditation journey.
